The shape of the journey
Three nights in one designated villa or a 4-star hotel in Wulingyuan with breakfast, private station or airport transfers, private transport on the route, an English-speaking guide on Day 2 and during the daytime on Day 3, and the listed adult admissions, including Tianmen Mountain with its cable car, or Baofeng Lake with its boat in bad weather. The 72 Wonder Tower evening is self-guided with private drop-off, pickup and remote assistance.
Day by day
Arrival, core touring and departure are shown day by day. Opening hours, named-entry tickets and local conditions may change the order. If anything important needs to change, we discuss it with you.
Our driver meets you at Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport or Zhangjiajie West Railway Station, including evening arrivals. On the way to Wulingyuan, stop at 72 Wonder Tower to see it lit up; the visit is self-guided, with your driver waiting and remote assistance. Then check in to your villa or 4-star hotel, your base for all three nights. Evening entry closes at about 22:30, so if you land too late we move this visit to the evening of Day 3.
An early start for a full day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park with your English-speaking guide. See morning mist over Tianzi Mountain’s sandstone peaks and Yangjiajie’s Natural Great Wall, then stand above Yuanjiajie’s Avatar Hallelujah Mountain and the First Bridge Under Heaven. After lunch, head down to the valley for a walk along Golden Whip Stream and the scenery of Ten-Mile Gallery. The included scenic shuttles link the areas; the Bailong Elevator, cableways and the Ten-Mile Gallery mini-train are optional and paid on the spot if you want to save walking. Allow roughly 10–11 hours door to door. Official closures, last-shuttle times, weather, safety or crowd control may change the order, and your guide sets a pace that suits your group.
Drive about an hour to Zhangjiajie city with your English-speaking guide. Ride the cable car up Tianmen Mountain for its cliff-side walkways, then see the great Tianmen Cave. If Tianmen Mountain is closed or fogged in, we switch to Baofeng Lake near Wulingyuan and cruise its emerald water by boat, at no extra charge. Return to your villa or hotel for a quiet evening. Your guide is with you for the daytime only.

Yes. The vehicle, driver and guide serve only your group, which is why 2 travellers pay more per person than 6. Your English-speaking guide is with you all of Day 2 and the daytime of Day 3. Days 1 and 4 are driver transfers, and the 72 Wonder Tower evening is self-guided, with private drop-off, pickup and remote help.
Day 2 is a full day, roughly 10–11 hours door to door, with an afternoon walk along Golden Whip Stream. Scenic shuttles are included. The Bailong Elevator, cableways and Ten-Mile Gallery mini-train are optional and paid on the spot if you want to walk less, and your guide sets a pace that suits your group.
We switch Day 3 to a boat trip on Baofeng Lake near Wulingyuan, at no extra charge. That is the only planned change: the rest of the route is fixed, nothing is added on the spot, and the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is not part of it.
