Spend the morning at Yungang Grottoes, then visit the confirmed old-city sites such as Huayan Temple and Nine-Dragon Screen. Site order follows opening hours and crowd controls.

Drive south for Hanging Temple and the confirmed Yingxian stop, then continue to Pingyao. Access to elevated temple sections depends on the site's same-day controls.
The temple is visited while travelling south; access can be limited on the day. - 04Day 4
Walk Pingyao's city wall, courtyards, lanes and one confirmed financial-house museum with the guide. The day is kept in one compact area rather than adding another long drive.
Pingyao Ancient City - 05Day 5
Leave Pingyao for one confirmed merchant-family courtyard, then continue to Taiyuan for the final night. The exact courtyard is fixed in the written itinerary.
Fen River, Taiyuan - 06Day 6
Visit Jinci only when the confirmed departure time leaves a safe buffer, then transfer to Taiyuan airport or railway station.

Five breakfast-included nights, twin sharing: Datong 2, Pingyao 2 and Taiyuan 1. Traditional Pingyao rooms vary in stairs, bed type and sound insulation, so the exact room is confirmed before payment.
Guide, transport and admissions
The base scope includes a private English-speaking guide, driver, vehicle and named first admissions. Korean pages use a Korean-speaking guide at the same base price, subject to availability.

How much does the 6-day Datong and Pingyao private tour cost?
This route has no published price; we quote it after checking your travel dates and live availability. Send your dates, rooming, arrival details and luggage count, and we confirm the route, hotels, transport, guide language and final total in writing before you pay. There are no shopping stops.
What is included, and what costs extra?
It covers five nights with breakfast, twin sharing (Datong 2, Pingyao 2, Taiyuan 1), arrival and departure transfers, a private English-speaking guide, driver and vehicle on Days 2–6 as your departure time allows, and the main entry tickets named in your booking. Flights, lunches, dinners, tips and single rooms are extra.
How much time is there for Yungang Grottoes?
The whole morning of Day 2 is for Yungang Grottoes. Afterwards you visit confirmed Datong old-city sites such as Huayan Temple and the Nine-Dragon Screen, in an order set by opening hours and crowd controls.
Can we go up into the Hanging Temple?
Hanging Temple is on Day 3, with a confirmed stop in Yingxian, on the drive south to Pingyao. Whether you can enter its upper sections depends on the site's controls that day, so we can't promise it.
What are the rooms like in Pingyao?
You stay two nights inside or beside Pingyao's old town. Traditional rooms there vary in stairs, bed type and sound insulation, so tell us what matters to you; the exact room is confirmed before you pay.
Do we have to go back to Datong to fly home?
No. You arrive in Datong on Day 1, travel one way south, and on Day 6 we take you to Taiyuan airport or railway station. Jinci is visited first only if your departure time leaves enough spare time.
