Ten days for Beijing, Xi’an, the Li River and Shanghai
The 10-day Beijing–Xi’an–Guilin–Shanghai private trip is priced from USD 2,990 each for two in twin rooms, excluding international flights. The route still gives the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Li River their own days, but it moves on quickly after each stop.

The shape of the journey
Nine hotel nights include breakfast. The price covers local private guides and vehicles on touring days, transfers, named tickets, the Li River cruise, one second-class train and two economy flights. If you want a rest day, the 14-day route gives you more room.
Day by day
Arrival, core touring and departure are shown day by day. Opening hours, named-entry tickets and local conditions may change the order. If anything important needs to change, we discuss it with you.
At the confirmed Beijing airport or station, your driver takes you straight to the hotel. We leave the first day clear after a long flight; sightseeing begins when you have slept.

The guide takes you through the Tiananmen area and into the Forbidden City with the ticket issued for your date. The museum closes on Mondays, so we set the Beijing day order after the reservation is confirmed.

Mutianyu is about 90 minutes from Beijing by road. Take the included cable car or chairlift one way, then walk the restored wall at your own speed. Back in town, there is a short hutong walk near the Drum Tower.

The confirmed second-class train to Xi’an takes about 4.5–6 hours. A driver takes you to the Beijing station and another meets you in Xi’an; leave the evening free after the crossing.

Do not rush the Terracotta Warriors: the guide has the morning and early afternoon there. Return to Xi’an for the City Wall when the light softens; you can walk or cycle it. The Muslim Quarter is free time in the evening.

The economy flight from Xi’an to Guilin takes about two hours. A local driver meets you at the Guilin airport and takes you to the hotel. The evening is free; sleep in Guilin before the river boat.

The Li River boat takes about four hours to Yangshuo, while your luggage goes separately by road. Later, take a short bike ride or drive through the Yulong River countryside. Stay in Yangshuo.

First drive about 1.5 hours to Guilin airport, then take the confirmed economy flight to Shanghai, about two hours. A Shanghai driver meets you. If you still have energy, the Bund is lit after dark.

Decide before booking how to spend the day. Stay in Shanghai with a guide for the Bund, Yu Garden and an old French Concession neighbourhood, or take the high-speed train to Suzhou for one garden and Pingjiang Road.

Your driver takes you to the confirmed Shanghai airport or station. We leave the departure day free of sightseeing.

Travel made seamless
Your hotel level, guided days, transfers, route transport and principal admissions are planned together. We check availability for your dates before payment.
Nine hotel nights include breakfast and use twin rooms at the four-star standard (4 diamonds on Trip.com/Ctrip). The stays are Beijing 3, Xi’an 2, Guilin 1, Yangshuo 1 and Shanghai 2. We confirm the hotel names and room types before payment.
An English-speaking local guide and vehicle serve your party only on touring days. Transfers, named first-entry tickets and the Li River cruise are included; luggage goes to Yangshuo separately by road. Between cities, we include the second-class Beijing–Xi’an train and economy flights Xi’an–Guilin and Guilin–Shanghai. Guides change by city, with drivers at both ends of each train or flight. Korean-speaking guides cost the same where available.
The 10-day Beijing–Xi’an–Guilin–Shanghai private tour is USD 2,990 each for two sharing a twin room, or USD 5,980 for the pair. Four travellers pay USD 2,540 each; six pay USD 2,390. Nine hotel nights with breakfast, guides and vehicles in each city on touring days, entrance tickets, the Li River boat, one high-speed train and two domestic flights are included. International flights and lunches and dinners are extra. We price other party sizes in writing.
Ten days let the Beijing–Xi’an–Guilin–Shanghai private route cover four stops, with travel time between each. It is enough for the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Li River, but it moves quickly. To avoid domestic flights, the 11-day Hangzhou–Suzhou train route starts at USD 2,690 each for two. With two weeks, routes adding Chengdu, Zhangjiajie, Yunnan or Huangshan start at USD 3,790.
For the 10-day Beijing–Xi’an–Guilin–Shanghai route, April–May and September–October are the easier months. Winter is colder in Beijing and Xi’an but quieter; around December–February low water may shorten the Li River boat trip. Early-May and early-October Chinese holidays make trains and sights crowded.
The 10-day Beijing–Xi’an–Guilin–Shanghai private tour has no shopping stops. Any extra visit or service needs your agreement first.
Clear before payment
