Zhangye Danxia · Destination view - 02Day 2
Visit Giant Buddha Temple and Zhangye Danxia at the confirmed light and entry window. The exact platform sequence follows the operating shuttle route.
Zhangye Danxia - 03Day 3
Visit Pingshanhu Grand Canyon when operating, then drive west to Jiayuguan. A simpler Zhangye alternative is used if weather or access closes the canyon.

Visit Jiayuguan Fort and one confirmed frontier site, then continue through the Gobi to Dunhuang for the first of three nights.

Visit Mogao Caves using the confirmed official ticket type and time slot. Cave access and language service follow the issued ticket; the evening is free at Shazhou night market.

Guide, transport and admissions
Days 2–6 include a private English-speaking guide, driver, vehicle, named first admissions and required scenic shuttles. Korean pages use a Korean-speaking guide at the same base price, subject to availability.
Before you choose
How much is the 7-day Zhangye, Jiayuguan and Dunhuang private tour?
Per person, sharing twin rooms: USD 1,480 for 2 travellers, USD 1,320 for 4 and USD 1,290 for 6. The guide, driver and vehicle serve only your group, so a larger group splits their cost. These are starting prices; the hotel standard, any seasonal supplement and the final total are confirmed in writing before you pay.
What does the price include, and what costs extra?
It covers six nights with breakfast (Zhangye 2, Jiayuguan 1, Dunhuang 3), arrival and departure transfers, and on Days 2–6 a private English-speaking guide, driver, vehicle, required site shuttles and main entry tickets named in your booking. Flights, lunches, dinners, tips, single rooms and optional desert activities are extra.
How do Mogao Caves tickets and cave visits work?
Mogao is on Day 5, with the official ticket type and time slot confirmed for your booking. Which caves you enter, and the language they are explained in, follow the ticket issued. Upgraded tickets and special caves cost extra; three nights in Dunhuang leave room if ticket times or weather change.
Are camel rides at Mingsha Mountain included?
No. Camel rides, helicopter flights and other optional desert activities are not in the base package. Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring themselves are visited on Day 6, at a time chosen around the weather and temperature.
What if weather or a closure changes the plan?
Pingshanhu Grand Canyon on Day 3 is visited only when it is operating; if weather or access closes it, we use a simpler Zhangye alternative. Zhangye Danxia on Day 2 is timed to a confirmed light and entry window, and the viewing platforms follow that day's shuttle route.
Where does the tour start and end, and how do we book?
You arrive in Zhangye on Day 1 and leave from Dunhuang airport or railway station on Day 7, travelling west without going back. Send your dates, rooming, arrival details and luggage count; we confirm hotels, transport, guide language and the final total in writing before you pay. There are no shopping stops.
